Here you go guys, some great news for all iPhone and iPod touch owners....

The Humf App is available for £1.79 from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore.

London, 10th January 2011- P2 Games today announced the launch of the first official Humf App on the App Store. Based on the top rated TV show on Nick Jr, and available for the iPhone and iPod touch, the app has been designed specifically for pre-school children to pick up and play by themselves.

The Humf App includes a fun-filled selection of 9 mini-games, with a variety of activities inspired by the hit TV show. Featuring all the original characters, music and sound effects, the app captures all the excitement from the much-loved children’s TV show.

Activities include:
Furry Thing – Combine different body parts and create new and familiar furry things.
Painting – Help Wallace paint amazing and colourful pictures.
Tidy Up – Help Humf clean his room by matching the toys to their correctly coloured boxes.
Shadows – Different shapes cast different shadows. Children can try and match them correctly.
Balloons – Help Loon fill the balloons with air, count them then have fun popping them with Humf.
Dot-To-Dot – Join the dots to reveal different characters from the TV show.
Music – Children can have fun making music with different instruments.
Bath Time – Use the water pistol to shoot bubbles at the toys.
Racing – Control the car by tilting the device in different directions.

Gerry Whiteside, Director at P2 Games said: “We have found that there is a growing audience of pre-schoolers out there who use their parents’ iPhone and iPod touch to play games and we’ve created this app with that in mind, delivering engaging and interactive content that they wil enjoy again and again.”

Hannah Mungo, Licensing Manager at Entertainment One adds: “We are extremely pleased to be teaming up with P2 Games to bring Humf and his friends to the App Store and to kids in a fun and appealing way.”

eOne's Humf licensing push gathers pace

Entertainment One is expanding its Humf programme into the publishing sector.

The firm has struck an international deal with Igloo Books which will see a number of published formats distributed across 36 territories.

Igloo will launch its range from spring/summer 2011. Products will include story books, gift and novelty books, board books, touch and feel, poster and sound books, sticker, puzzle and activity books, colouring, audio books and annuals.

The deal comes hot on the heels of Humf's success in the DVD sector. eOne released the first title in August and it has notched up sales of almost 14,500 units in its first month - making it the biggest new pre-school series on DVD of the year (YTD).

A second title - Humf and the Big Boots - is due for release in Q1 2011.

In addition, P2 Games is on board to develop Humf iPhone applications for release this year. Redan also continues to feature the character in its Fun to Learn Friends and Fun to Learn Favourites titles.

"Building on the momentum of the brand's success on DVD, we're confident that this publishing deal will provide a strong foundation for the Humf licensing programme which we aim to develop over the next year," said Andrew Carley, head of licensing at Entertainment One. "The partnership with Igloo will be integral to the growth of the property and we look forward to working with the team there."

We all stand together x

Hello My fellow Humf hunters....i have decided to try a little something, it may work, it may not, but its worth a try....I have shown my blog to King Rollo, all the comments ect, they are great with replying and really friendly, and yes, i know its not the fault of the woman who work there but I have now been told that Humf toys will now only be out in stores before Christmas 2011, a reply letter i recieved from Staff at King Rollo.  OH MY GOSH, ANOTHER CHRISTMAS TO GET THROUGH SEEING THAT LITTLE LOOK OF CONFUSION ON OUR LITTLE ONE'S FACES WHEN SANTA DOESNT LEAVE THEM A HUMF TOY UNDER THE TREE.......Well all i can i think of doing, is starting up a partition....Like i said it may work, it may not, but if you all leave comment to this post and we get enough complaint, begging and pleading then maybe something can be done about moving the release of toys forward, i mean, another whole year and a half till anything is to show face in the shops???? THATS JUST NOT ON.........come on guys, leave your comments, i will forward all the messages to King Rollo once i have reached a big enough target and HOPE HOPE HOPE  that it maybe sparks an urgency in this manufacturing....ok, well, LETS GO, lets get our voices across, LET ALL STAND TOGETHER DO SEE IF WE CAN DO THIS FOR OUR KIDDIES....:)
